Nigerians Popular music stars Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid and Tems have won different awards at the American Music Awards held in California, USA.

Singer Wizkid contended with other Nigerian counterparts including Burna Boy, CKay, Fireboy DML and Tems to finally clinch the novel award.
While Wizkid made history by becoming the first artiste to win the Favourite Afrobeats Artiste category.
Tems won with her collaboration with Wizkid on Essence which took the Favourite R&B Song category at the event.
The 50th edition of the event held on Sunday, at Microsoft Theater, California.
