Senegalese-American Singer, Akon has praised Nigerian Star singers, Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy for taking afrobeats worldwide.
Speaking in an interview with famous American Radio host, Sway, Akon spoke about the three giants that are influencing Nigerian Music positively.
Akon described Wizkid as a superstar and a born star.
He picked wizkid as the poster child of Afrobeat and he is the biggest name in the industry.
Adding that Wizkid is one of those guys that record an album in a year and the record will last a year.
“Wizkid is just a superstar, he is one of those guys that put up one record a year and the record last a whole year. He is a born star without a doubt”,He said.
Talking about Davido, he described him as the workaholic. For him, Davido was the underdog that fought hard to be where he is, though he had support from his wealthy family.
“Davido is the hardest working. He was the underdog but what he has as support was his wealthy family, so he was able to come out every week with a new song and new video. He got more song than any Afrobeat artiste”,he added.
Finally, speaking on the African giants, Burna Boy. Akon described him as a beast.
He said, “Burna boy is a beast, he’s always representing our culture on a level that it’s need to be represented on”.
