Veteran Nollywood Actor, Ganiyu Ogunjimi has passed away in a post shared online by his colleagues in the industry.
The News of his passing was shared online by Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod today, 26th of April , 2024, noting that Ogunjimi passed away despite the effort to avert his demise.
The deceased was widely recognized for his intense roles, particularly as a warlord in Yoruba movies. He gained popularity for portraying characters with mystical powers, often playing the role of a wizard in movies involving witchcraft themes.
Ogunjimi was grouped among star actors like Lalude, Abija, Fadeyi and Dagunro known for their traditional movies roles in films.
Sharing the tragic news, Kunle Afod captioned his post while informing many of their fans that they tried their possibly best to save the actor, but God knows best.
He wrote;
We tried our best but God loves you more May his soul rest in peace Baba Ogunjinmi RIP Sun re oooo.”
