“I was so broke, I use to steal food to survive”- Singer Tems recounts past struggles

Award winning Singer, Temilade openiyi popularly known as Tems has revisited struggles. She disclosed that at some point in time in her life she stole food to survive.

Speaking in an interview with GQ Magazine, she revealed that she use to visit an aunt to get food which she would then take home.

She stated this while narrating the rough and tough situation of her lives back then, adding that she was very broke and hopeless during that period.

She said and I quote;

There were times when I was not just broke; I was broke and hopeless. I used to steal food. I used to go to my aunty’s house just so she could give me food to take home.

“I just felt like, What is the point of me existing right now? You have to remember those times. Because that person does not exist anymore.”

OneKingNaija.com recalls Tems has revealed that people don’t know what she has gone through in life as many think that she came from a wealthy home.

Tem is Naturally gifted both physically and lyrically. She got featured on Wizkid Made in Lagos Album and the song has been topping the chart in the US ever since then.

It would be recalled that some time ago, she came on social media to debunk the news of her coming from a wealthy home.

Some hours ago, she took to her Instagram page as she reveals that many of her fans doesn’t know that she has suffered alot in this life.
