Ex-husband of BBNaija All Stars housemate, Venita Akpofure, Terna Mbakoaa Tarka, has debunked statement that Tiv men give their wives to their guests for pleasure.
This comes after Venita made a viral statement in the BBNaija house that the Tiv tribe serves their wife to visitors for entertainment purposes.
However, she apologized after the show ended, saying that her statement was misunderstood.
In her Apology note, she said;
“there is one thing I feel got twisted which is actually the statement I made about Tiv people. My daughters are actually Tivs so there is no way I will be trying to make any kind of malicious or slanderous comment towards their people, for those that are offended by it, I am regretful”.
Some hours ago, Venita Estranged husband, Tarka has stated in a clip that the narrative is not true and he never gave his wife to other men for pleasure.
“I am here to address a very controversial narrative that has been making rounds all over social media and the news. This is regarding a statement that when Tiv men host their guests, they give their wives out to these guests for pleasure purposes. I would like to categorically state that in all my years of hosting my guests, even the thought of such a derogatory practice has never crossed my mind so therefore such a thing never occurred in my marriage”.
“Coming from a prominent family it is easy to be the target of a backlash regarding this matter. Such a practice has never occurred or existed within the Tiv culture or any other Nigerian culture for that matter”.
“Tiv men are fiercely protective over their wives and daughters I strongly suggest against trespassing. Yes, we go to any length to ensure that our guests feel as if they are VIPs”.
Venita Akpofure got married to her ex-husband for 4 years and it was blessed with two girls. Their marriage hit the rock in 2019.
