Nigerian Nollywood Actress Tonto Dikeh shared a video of her interview with Channels Television about the Rivers State Governorship Race which she is a running mate for the ADC governorship Candidate.
In the video she posted on her Instagram official account.
The actress cleared out the misinterpretation of the use of her name ‘King’.
And what Nigerian thinks about her new role as a deputy governor.
According to her;
“Now, what I say might be a little bit controversial, but nevertheless this is the truth.
A deputy is a spare tire. And I’m willing to be the best spare tire every governor, every mandate has ever heard?”
“I don’t call myself ‘king’, My name is King Tonto, it is a name not a title.
It’s a name gotten from my son? That’s something I’ve never really gotten to explain to a lot of people.
But I think now I have to because I had to take it out from my campaign.
Name and campaign initiative because I did not want traditional rulers to think am ahead of them.
Tonto Dikeh further explained, My ‘king’ comes a result of my name.
As a name gotten from my son. It’s not a title in any way or form.”
Nevertheless, Actress Tonto Dikeh is now one of two female celebrities.
Who have been invited to be running mates in political parties from different states in Nigeria.
Funke Akindele is the other female celebrity who is running for the position of the deputy governor under the umbrella of PDP.
