Nigerian Afrobeat Singers, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Tems, and others won an award last night at the 17th Headies Award event in Lagos state, Nigeria.
The 17th Headies Awards occurred at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigeria. This marks the return of the event to Nigeria after two editions in the United States of America. The Theme for this year’s event is called “Back to Base”.
Last night, The Music and Entertainment industry had one of its biggest events in the city of Lagos, with many celebrities, dignitaries turning up for the 17th Headies Award night.
It was a remarkable event as many Afrobeat stars in the industry got recognized for their hard work and also won an award at the event.
Odumodublvck , Qing Madi, Juma Jux and others performed on stage as they thrilled the audience who graced the event.
Juma Jux, the Tanzanian singer who recently got married to Nigerian Influencer, Priscilla, the daughter of Renowned Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Ojo, took many to their feet as he performed his hit song “Chasing the way”.
Juma’s performance was tagged the best performance at the 17th headies event with many hailing him for putting so much energy last night.

In a clip making the round online, Davido won the Digital award of the year, Burna Boy won the Best Performer (LIVE), Asake won the Song of the year for his hit song “Lonely at the Top”, Rema won Album of year (HEIS) & Tems won the Best recording of the year.
