Nigerian comedian and actor, Debo Adebayo better known as Mr Macaroni, has shared his excitements on social media as he was bestowed with an honorary doctorate degree from a prestigious university, Precious Cornerstone, in Ibadan.
Mr Macaroni, who is known for his explicit role of a political figure cum sugar daddy called ‘Daddy wa’ shared the good news with his fans via his social media page.
The comic star was honoured as the doctor of creative writing (Honoris Causa) at the 2nd convocation ceremony of the university, which held today, November 11.
The 30-year-old star is known for his unwavering support for the #EndSars protest in 2020. Debo used his platform and presence at various protest venues to advocate against police brutality – even after becoming a victim as a result.
In his recent post on Instagram, he wrote;
I am deeply honored to be considered worthy at the discretion of the Senate and Council of The Precious Corner Stone University Ibadan to be deemed deserving of public recognition and award of the prestigious degree of DOCTOR OF CREATIVE WRITING (HONORIS CAUSA)”
“I am grateful to God Almighty for his blessings and favor, The Council, staff and students of Precious Corner Stone University Ibadan, my family, friends and all supporters of Mr Macaroni.”
“To the millions of people out there pursuing their dreams and working hard daily to achieve these aspirations, don’t stop, don’t relent! You will be celebrated! Thank you all. Dr Macaroni loves you.”
